CIRI Induction Course

Only applicants who have completed the CIRI Induction course are considered for CIRI registration.

What is CIRI?

The CIRI Induction Course is a requirement for any construction company, contractor, builder or sole trader who wishes to apply to be listed on the Construction Industry Register Ireland. The CIRI Induction Course covers the following:

  • The Construction Industry Register Ireland explained
  • Applying to join the register
  • Industry Code of Practice
  • Registered Member Obligations
  • Functions of the CIRB
  • Assessment and Review Procedures
  • Continuous Professional Development

Course Fee: The fee for the CIRI Induction course is €50 per attendee.
Duration: Course times vary. Most courses begin at 9am and run to approximately 12pm, but please check individual courses for variation.

Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the term used to describe the learning activities CIRI registrants engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.

The initial stages of the CPD process will enable your business to access training and educational events to improve the knowledge and skills within your business. The CIRI CPD Office will assist and support all CIRI Registered companies in accessing programme and events which will have attached CPD points.

CIRI Registrants are required to supply an annual CPD Record with their registration renewal.

To renew your CIRI registration you will need the following.

  • Tax clearance status / details
  • A letter from your insurance company and/ or insurance broker stating that the applicant has the appropriate insurances in place.
  • A copy of your completed Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Plan
